Praisevocals.com is designed to serve primarily worship leaders, worship pastors, vocal directors, praise team and choir vocalists. What makes us unique from any other resource in your toolbox is that we provide professionally performed and recorded vocal harmony rehearsal tracks of the melody, tenor and alto parts of the most popular and most recent praise and worship songs in the world.
Every song in our catalog has been licensed and is legal to download.
We have recorded each vocal segment of any given song one time. What this means is that if a song has 3 verses, 4 choruses and a bridge. We record the vocal harmonies on only 1 of the verses, 1 of the choruses and the bridge. Each song in our catalog has the following vocal part mixes associated with them:
1) Vocal Mix - this is a full mix with all of the harmony parts.
2) Melody Mix - has the MELODY vocal part featured in the overall mix.
3) Tenor Mix – features the TENOR harmony part.
4) Alto Mix – features the ALTO harmony part.
NOTE: We have taken great care NOT to “stylize” the vocal performances of the songs in any way. We feel that the finessing of phrasing and nuance should be left up to the individual leaders to fit their unique style.

WHY WE DO IT
As we touched on earlier, we believe that one thing we can all agree on is that time is precious. We never have enough of it so we don’t like to waste it, especially at our rehearsals. Learning and teaching vocal parts each week is arguably the most tedious and time consuming part of our rehearsal time.
Approximately 11 years ago in an effort to save time at our weekly praise team rehearsals, we decided to begin recording the vocal harmonies for each new song we introduced to the congregation. At first, these harmony parts were hastily recorded on a hand held cassette recorder and then copied and distributed on cassette tapes to our praise team. As the years went by we started getting good at expediting the procedure until finally we guided the development of a website for our own church where we became able to upload these recordings that gave our singers access to listen to their individual vocal parts for all of the songs to be sung on the following weekend or several weekends in advance.
Once this procedure was put into place, an amazing transformation occurred. First of all, we were suddenly free to spend all of our rehearsal time working on the nuance and dynamics of each song. We cannot stress strongly enough what a huge difference this has made with regards to how much more confidently and skillfully we communicate the songs. Countless hours of rehearsal time have been saved by not having to focus on teaching, learning, reading, creating or remembering harmonies and phrasing for the many songs in our repertoire. Secondly, this approach has given our worship team the freedom to learn their vocal parts throughout the week at any time that is convenient for them. It has also freed us from the responsibility of preparing or reviewing the harmony parts in advance so that we could teach them to our singers at rehearsal. And, by the way, our experience has been that a singer will come unprepared to a rehearsal only once. There’s something humbling and motivating about being the only one holding up the rehearsal time to go over an individual vocal part due to not being prepared!
